1. Hi when i taught second grade  as a  rule I have an assortment of things that a child can do and move onto when they are done. some of these are for individual student and some are for pairs.  they include a box of books, games that I felt where educational  or good for social skills, I also had extra "work" that could be done, including mazes, sheets for strengthening word skills. 
2. I would think that you should speak to each individual by themselves and ask them. It would be a great opportunity to talk about the past year and think about what they would like to see the following year in their classroom
3. I recently heard a teacher talking about a Kiryah CD for the computer, that is used to help chidlern with reading skills. Has anyone heard of one that they ahve used that they found  is helpful thanks
