often triggered by blossoming plants such as trees and flowers, however the most common trigger is pollen. With so much pollen in the air during the spring, it may seem nearly impossible to combat allergy symptoms, but fear not—there are several solutions for reducing the seasonal allergy symptoms. Listed below are a few of the most effective ways to combat springtime allergies.

Avoid pollen. Pollen is the leading springtime allergen. Because of this, it goes without saying that those who suffer from allergies, specifically seasonal allergies, should avoid pollen as much as possible. Obviously it is nearly impossible to avoid going outdoors all season long, however there are certain times of the day, typically between 5am and 10am, where the pollen count tends to be much higher. Therefore, try to avoid going outside during this time of the day. When you do go outside, remember that pollen tends to cling to fabric so change your clothes as soon as you walk in the house to avoid pollen spreading to furniture, carpet, and other areas of your home.
