I'm trying to find a good kesivah workbook to teach my class how to write block letters. I asked a friend who taught pre-1a and she said they never taught them how to write block, but right away learned script. What do you teach in your school?

My Kg. students learn to copy their Hebrew names in block as well as a few other basic words. However, I don't spend time teaching them how to form block letters (I will assist them and give them easy ways of forming them if needed) as they begin to learn to write script letters in November of Gr. 1.

My K students learn only to write their names in block.  They start learning script the first week of school.

i teach my class script letters,as far as i know in most schools( exept for schools in israel)they don`t teach bockletters.
after teaching all teh letters i make the children copy bock written words in script so they learn it anyway in a way.

why would the kids have any need for block writing? When they're ready to write at age 6-7 they can transition straight into script.
