Some teachers introduce a new nekuda once a month as they teach the aleph-bais for the first time, most teachers seem to each aleph-bais first and only afterwards introduce the nekudos. Does anyone have the experience of trying both methods, do you have a preference?

Halfway through the alef bais I start practicing kamatz with the students, and then 3/4 of the way through I introduce patach. This is so it won't be completely new to them when we start seriously learning nekudos after they completely master the letters. I posted kriah practice sheets if you want to see it in detail.

My understanding is that you must ask Daas Torah because mesorah may be an issue to factor in.

Hi I teach the complete alef bais- constantly reviewing all the letters each day and then I begin with nekudos.......starting with kamatz patach etc. We review the alef bais so much that they hopefully know it in their sleep........
