Curriculum Development / Elementary / Tachnun Monday and Thursday
|
on: September 02, 2010, 09:42:41 PM
|
I teach 8th grade in an out of town school. We have a morning minyan for the 6th -8th grade. Tachnun on Mondays and Thursdays is very long and most of the boys almost seem like they have given up on saying it at all. Does anyone have suggestions on how to get the boys to say it?
Thanks.

Curriculum Development / Extra Curricular Activites and Programs / Melave Malka for 6th-8th graders
|

We are looking to run a melave malke for the 6th-8th grade boys in our school. Its approximately 30 boys. In the past there was just food and story telling. Does anyone have any suggestions to make the program more fun? Any ideas on good games or how to run a kumzits effectively for kids this age (getting them to actually sing)? If you have any ideas you can email me at aykula@sbcglobal.net
Thanks in advance.

Curriculum Development / Elementary / Shorashim with pesukim examples
|
on: August 25, 2009, 08:49:45 AM

Our school has a program where each year the boys get tested on various Shorashim out of a list of 250 and by eighth grade they are responsible to know all 250 Shorashim. Does anyone have shorashim sheets, that besides for having just the actual Shoresh, it has some examples from Chumash as to where the shoresh is used also??
Thanks,
Avi Kula

Curriculum Development / Elementary / note taking for 7th and 8th grade boys

Hi! I am an eighth grade Rebbe and I am trying to find someone to speak to about a method on how to teach the boys to take notes. I was wondering if anyone has figured this out or maybe someone can tell me who to speak to.
Thanks,
Avi Kula
