This story takes in place in Vilna in the 1780s when
there was not one Esrog to be found The people of
Vilna finally found a man who would give his Esrog to
them for the Vilna Gaon but only on condition that he
gets credit for the Vilna Gaon's Mitzva The Vilna Gaon
agreed because he now had a chance to serve HaShem just
for the Mitzva and without getting a reward |
