A kindergarten curriculum for lamed tes melachos. Sholom is a
life-sized boy made out of cardboard with moveable arms, who
wears real clothes and tzitzis! He is full of staple holes by now
after all these years of teaching children about Shabbos, but
that doesn't stop him from wearing his big Shabbos smile!
Sholom's moveable arms hold a different implement each week to
illustrate a practical example of the melachah we are learning
(for a girls' class you can make "Shirah the Shomer Shabbos
Yaldah"). The children were so excited to come in Monday
morning and see what Shalom would be doing this week. Please
note: There is no pattern provided. |
