Creative math sheets in which students use math skills to answer Rosh Hashana-related questions. In these sheets students will count money to decide which new fruit to purchase for the second day of Yom Tov and will add and subtract time to determine when Rosh Hashana begins. They will measure the amount of wine needed for Kiddush and how much they must drink in order to drink to fulfill the Mitzva. They will also multiply the kolos of the Shofar beginning with 3 and ending with 100. And finally, they will chart the calendar for the month of Tishrei. Available as editable Word file or non-editable pdf.
So clever and interactive. Great idea!! Tizku l'mitzvohs!
This is amazingly creative. I like that it combines math with halacha, requires physical measuring and counting and challenges student beyond simple recall. Thank you for making the document editable, I am changing it to be pertinent to this year.
