Can you roll a ball out of clay? Can you roll a “snake” out of clay? Congratulations! You can make one of these menorahs that look like they came from an art gallery! Each menorah requires a number of steps but the results are well-worth it. This will become a treasured family menorah.

This menorah is beautiful. Is this menorah put on a base or are the toothpicks good enough?

I made these with my 5th Graders. The kids loved the project, the materials were easy to find and work with, and they came out amazing. You don't have to follow the instructions to the letter -- buy the right amount of materials and follow the baking instructions, but when it comes to actually forming the menorahs, let the creativity flow (as long as the candles are lined up properly). I printed out copies of the instructions and distributed them to students. The clear instructions and photos were very helpful, especially as far as the toothpicks were concerned. THANK YOU FOR A GREAT PROJECT!! This was easy to manage even for a rebbe such as myself who doesn't often do projects like this.
