A suggested method on having students translate words by first separating the word according to its shoresh, prefix and suffix using shapes of different colors. A green square connotes a prefix, a yellow oval shows a shoresh and a red triangle means a suffix. After the students separate words into these three categories, it will be easier for them to figure out the translation of the words. Includes a suggestive guide on teaching Chumash, samples on how to use the decoding shapes and templates of the three shapes. What to download • Download the print-ready PDF file (includes lesson plan/instructions). • OPTIONAL: Download the editable Publisher file of the shapes template (does not include lesson plan/instructions). Please note: When choosing an editable file, depending on the version of the program that you are using, and the fonts that you have, the document may not appear exactly as it was originally intended and/or it may not exactly match the PDF that we provide.
