Choveres of 39 Melachos

The choveres of the 39 melachos is written in lashon hakodesh with translation of difficult words interspersed in the text. The same format is repeated for each melachah thus reinforcing the concept of d'oraysa, toladah and issurei chazal. The illustrated examples included are as often as possible relevant to their own lives. The choveres should be used as part of a hilchos Shabbos curriculum which would also include hilchos muktzah (included separately) and a more in depth study of certain melachos. It is a good idea to encourage students to produce scrapbooks of the melachos as a worthwhile hands-on experience which reinforces the material studied. It is suitable for grades 6/7.
