The Chinuch Secret” – Audio and Handout

This workshop and accompanying handout presents “The Chinuch Secret” – a simple concept called “overlearning”. This mesorah based technique emphasizes the importance of repeatedly reviewing skills and concepts until they become automatic to a child. When this happens, the student gains fluency, and does not have to devote so much brain power to the basic understanding and decoding of the word or concept at hand. He can instead employ higher order thinking and comprehension. This technique can produce substantial qualitative and quantitative gains in kriah, Chumash, Gemara, and more.
