In this session, Rabbi David answeed questions from principals and the following topics were discussed:

  • Issues of severance pay.
  • Issue of Yeshiva Gedolas' faher and acceptance schedule which negatively impacts eighth grade class time and learning.
  • A local JCC will pen a preschool if the dayschool won't accept non-Jewish kids and this would ruin the frum school's program because they have few kids and hardly any funding.
  • Is requiring uniforms a benefit in upper grades?
  • Parents an a school are very lenient regarding elemntary age students coming late or missing class frequently for family simchas, trips, etc. Should administration get involved and lay out rules.
  • What responsibility does a school have to take in a student with a known behavioral problem?
  • How to protect rebbeim against false allegations of abuse.
  • In terms of a shaila about policies, should you just follow the principal or ask gedolim.
  • What should a principal do when a parent is verbally abusive to a teacher-should they get involved and how?
  • Teaching Derech Eretz in schools.
  • Is it ethical for a yeshiva to pay the rebbe a small salary thereby forcing him to rely on government aid?
  • How to deal with the situation of having a very learning disabled student whom the school cannot service properly but the parents don't want to send him to a different school.
  • In an out of town school where most kids aren't frum, can there be no grades or tests for limudei kodesh so as to encourage more learning lishmah.
  • Issue of students davening at correct zman.
  • Issue with single girls (teachers) who get engaged in the middle of the year and leave.
