How can we succeed with students who rebel against our basic
value system? While school is an academic environment which
endeavors to teach learning skills and to impart information, the
ultimate goal of yeshiva is to transmit our Mesorah to the next
generation. But for a variety of reasons, our students are often
resistant to the message and values that we hope to impart.
Whether it be due to divergent family values, or their immersion
in the general culture, such students and their peers can
undermine the mission and common purpose necessary for our
teachings to be absorbed. This workshop will outline
specific methodologies to deal with various scenarios, and
present varied strategies to help insure that your students will
identify will the values and Hashkafos of the school. |
