There's also 'The family midrash says' which is in english and teaches animated midrashim. It's from 'The midrash says' series...

I am writing a curriculum for my year nine class, who are not frum and don't know much. We are covering select stories in TeNach and wonder what else I could use, besides the midrash says, the Gutnick chumash and the Meam Loez to give the boys to actually look up things for themselves, in English to answer questions about the text.  Any ideas please?(remember, this is England with a correspondingly low standard of knowledge unfortunately)
