our school is considering moving the cut off date from Sept to Dec 31 meaning that the children coming into three year old nursery would have to be 3 by Dec 31 instead of Sept 1
any thoughts how this will effect the classroom/ educational goals/

My concernis how would this affect the next year(s) in kindergarten or pre1A?
Some children are not developmentally ready for kriah and/or reading when instruction is started in school.  This can result in grade retention or an artificially imposed learning disability.  If the child would have been  a year behind, the child would have be developmentally ready.  Will changing your cut-off date increase the number of children who really are not ready?
