helping colleagues learn about LD

Over the years I have seen several items that can be used to help other teachers "get it" when it comes to understanding their students with learning disabilities, but I can't seem to find them now when I need them. I'm thinking of a reading exercise where the words are mostly not recognizable, a passage that is not punctuated and can be read in different ways... that kind of thing. Does anyone know where I could get my hands on anything like this?

I have some things. It may not be what you were thinking of but they do the trick. Rick Lavoie's FAT City workshop is a great view. I do believe that experience is best. I like to have teachers mimic an assortment of disabilities e.g. keep cotton in your ears for just 10 minutes and feel how exhausting listening can be,
take off your glasses if you wear them to feel eye fatigue (poor acuity is not the only thing that can fatigue the eyes),
try working with your non dominant hand and see how much more quickly it tires.
