Can you in any way simplify the work you are doing? Take an honest assessment of the sen students. Hatzlocho. If you are giving the class work can the student do  some of it? Maybe if a child has finished their work could they help the sen child?

The program is called Communicate in Print or Boardmaker. I can only send you these stories if you have the programme on your computer.

We have made a series of cards to use with some of our students too. e.g. drink, lunch, quiet etc,

We have found this extremely helpful. Here in U.K it is known as Pecs cards.

We Have started working with clay with our students. For Rosh Hashona they all made honey pots. They did this by putting clay around a small paper cup. When it set we removed the cups and students painted their masterpieces. Hatzlocho

Story sacks are the new recommended resources for telling a story especially to a student with special needs. e.g The story of Yosef Mokir Shabbos You would have bread and water to show what Yosef ate during the week. You maythen want to lay a shabbos table to show how he ate on Shabbos. yOU might then have a hat and diamond to show how the rich man hid his riches. I would try and get a noise of the wind, etc and then a fish and show how the fish swallowed the diamond etc... This would aid students to understand the story better

widget is a computer programme that translates the written word into signs and symbols. This we found to be ideal for those students who are unable to read. There are many english stories written in widget on the net. As I was unable to find any Jewish themes I am writing some stories in Widget. If anyone is interested I Have written Yosef Mokir Shabbos and the story of Hillel on the roof. Hatzlocho

I am writing an L:K curriculum mapped throughout to numeracy and literacy. I have been writing this, with special needs students in mind. It is not complete but have covered all sedras and working through yomim toivim. It is over 100 pages. Will gladly share if you wish.

Pictures that you can stick on other pictures to make it look 3 dimensional can look older. Pictures that have cellophane art .

Paper mache also a good medium

We have found bribery works wonders- good behaviour skills, tasks etc  is rewarded with something the student likes.
