Title: Re: Story Sacks Post by: EstherHirsch on January 08, 2008, 05:36:12 AM Story sacks are the new recommended resources for telling a story especially to a student with special needs. e.g The story of Yosef Mokir Shabbos You would have bread and water to show what Yosef ate during the week. You maythen want to lay a shabbos table to show how he ate on Shabbos. yOU might then have a hat and diamond to show how the rich man hid his riches. I would try and get a noise of the wind, etc and then a fish and show how the fish swallowed the diamond etc... This would aid students to understand the story better
Title: Re: Story Sacks Post by: think613 on September 28, 2008, 10:31:21 AM I've seen things like "10 makos" sets around Pesach time, and Megillah sets, but I haven't seen sets for regular stories. I'd probably just try to put together some props from ordinary household/school items.
To use your example, bread, water, hat, "diamond", fish... are all things that you could bring from home or find in your local kindergarten classroom.
